Between the 14th and 15th of September, in the village of Sic (Cluj county), 20 young people from four Cluj high schools took part in interactive training sessions where they learned more about subjects like communication in teams, teamwork and leadership. But they also had fun, connected with each other and formed friendships. The event, in which PONT representatives also took part, was held by experienced trainers that motivated the youngsters to be actively involved in very diverse activities.

“I very much liked the fact that the information that we received was interesting and transmitted in a way that was compatible with us, and the general vibe was that of pleasure and passion for learning, not the obligation to do it”, said one of the participants.

The event is part of the #SchoolNews project, implemented by PONT during June 2024 – June 2025. The project benefits from the involvement of pupils of “Nicolae Bălcescu” High School, “George Coșbuc” National College, Reformed Theological High School, “Avram Iancu” High School and “Emil Racoviță” National College. With the guidance of experts, the pupils, who are members of editorial offices, will be helped to become better prepared in regards to digital media literacy competencies, will receive valuable information and develop abilities that are necessary in the practice of journalism, will develop their critical thinking and will benefit from consistent support in developing their own media products.
