The high school students participating in #SchoolNews Cluj learned many practical and useful things during the visual storytelling workshop led by journalist Vasile Hotea-Fernezan on Wednesday, May 21, and Thursday, May 22, at Zbor Hub.

The young participants discovered how to create clear, simple, and engaging video content, how to tell a story through images, and they learned how to conduct interviews, how to do stand-ups, podcasts, live broadcasts, and also picked up some video editing tricks.
During the workshop, the students actively participated, worked in teams, and were enthusiastic about the entire hands-on learning process.

Journalist Vasile Hotea-Fernezan has been part of the TVR Cluj team since 2000. He has worked as a news reporter, producer of the morning show “Regional Cafe Transilvania”, and he is a contributor to the programs “Cooltura”, “Cult@rt” at TVR Cultural.

Through #SchoolNews, PONT Group supports the development of school newspapers so that young people aged 14-18 can become more engaged, develop critical thinking and digital media literacy skills through direct involvement in content creation and accessing information created by their peers.
