The people of Racos (Brasov County) celebrate a special remembrance day every year, one week after Whit Monday. They call it “small Pentecost” or “Liberty Day”, because in 1848 the news of the emancipation from serfdom reached the village on that day, several weeks after it became official. People working in the fields that day abandoned their tools and gathered in the reformed church for a worship service. This day is celebrated ever since every year.
We are very happy and grateful that this year the Castle in Transylvania program and the EduCastle toys could be part of the celebration!
